I always remember a story of a good friend of mine who had a very difficult relationship with food and her body. Somewhere along her self-love journey, she became the assistant for a blind man who was very gifted in seeing energy. She was making dinner for the both of them one night and he said “WHAT ARE YOU DOING! You are sending dark black energy into your food and that is what is going into your body!” She stood in shock hearing this from a man who couldn’t see. She had an AHA moment, realizing she’d have to work to change her relationship to her good and start appreciating and loving it before she ate it!
This reminds me of the amazing work by Dr. Masaru Emoto who studied water molecules when different emotions and intentions were sent to them. Check it out on google! We are made up of 60% water and so is much of our food. So if there is work to be done in changing your relationship with food from struggle or emotional to grateful and healthy, it is the most important work!
Forget everything you hear about carbs and diets and fat and protein. We want to just focus on choosing and making foods that fuel you, that are anti-inflammatory, nutrient dense and that bring energy into your body instead of taking it. But no matter what you are eating, your emotions around it are the most important!! This is where we can learn from the traditions of prayer and gratitude before a meal! Energetically, this will be much better! Remember, food is your friend and it can FUEL you!
